Hi all,

Introducing the Tenant Handbook Consultation

As you may have seen, we are at the beginning of our Tenant Handbook Consultation. The consultation is designed to ensure the Handbook meets the needs of our tenants and provides clear, accessible information for everyone. We have two workshops this week residents have been invited to attend. Alongside this, we are sharing the draft and an online consultation form with our Housing User Board.

On top of this, we would like to share the document with you, our recognised resident associations. This is your opportunity to have your say and shape the document all tenants will receive, and new tenants will receive when they sign up for their property. There is a link to the form here, please do share this amongst your members and residents, alongside the draft document attached.  The document is aimed mostly at tenants as it covers all aspects of being a City of London tenant, although certain sections will also be relevant to leaseholders.

We are interested in your thoughts on the design and layout of the information, is it clear and easy to use? Does it have the type of information you would like to find? Could be it be laid out in a way that works better? Is there anything missing? If there’s anything else you’d like to add please do just share via the form.

Particular areas of interest for us to get resident views on are

•              Rent & service charges (page 23)

•              Repairs & improvements (page 33)

•              Service standards (page 72)

•              Resident involvement (page 82)

•              Contacts & resources (page 88)

I would also just like to add that the repairs priority levels (starting on page 37) are from the current contract and will be updated with the new priorities when Chigwell start as our main repairs contractor from the 1st April, so please ignore the actual content in that particular section, and just comment on the layout, design and so forth as above.

The closing date for comments will be Sunday 9th March

Any questions in the meantime, just get in touch.

Thank you,

Sam
