If you haven’t had a chance to complete the survey please do – there does seem to be a genuine attempt to engage with residents about the new Repairs and Maintenance contract. GLERA (Jacqueline and Tim) are part of a residents working party which meets monthly, and just a couple of weeks ago (7 February) our Councillors held a meeting so that the team working on the review could speak to residents.
Michael Gwyther-Jones and Jack Nuttal from the City of London were in the room and Jordan Brown and Jack Aston from Pennington Choices, who are engaged as consultants, joined online. It proved to be a very productive meeting with Jack writing up everyone’s points on a flip chart and Jordon providing helpful insights into why sometimes what seems like a good idea can actually be costly and counterproductive.
We are all hoping for a much more responsive and customer focused service when the new contract is awarded next year! Survey closes 19 February.
HRA Resident’s Repair Questionnaire
City of London Corporation
The existing repairs and maintenance contract between City of London and Wates Group Ltd. is due to come to an end in March 2025. The purpose of this questionnaire is to gather residents’ views and experiences on the current repairs service offering provided by the City of London and delivered by Wates Group Ltd.
For context, Wates’ current contract includes void works, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and multi-trade (including external building works and wider estate repairs), the City of London has separate contracts for fire & security, lift maintenance, mains water pumps, and gas servicing, which this exercise does not cover.
We also want to gather insight into what is important to you as customers to help develop the requirements of the new service and contract moving forward.
The information provided will assist in informing how the new contract will look, offering a service that meets your needs as customers.
All data provided by you will be held confidentially and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulations. City of London will act as the ‘Controller’ of this information.
The questionnaire will take approximately 5 minutes to complete, and all questions are optional.
