LWW goes to planning

As you probably know, the LWW scheme finally goes before the Planning Applications Sub-Committee this Wednesday 17th at 9am where it will either be approved or rejected. You can attend the meeting in person, which we urge you to do if you are able. With over 880 objections to the scheme, the City is well aware of how much opposition there is to their plans, but having the room filled with as many of us as possible can only reaffirm the strength of local opinion.

Full details of the meeting can be found here. There is no need to register to attend.

If you cannot attend, the meeting will be live-streamed by the City and you can watch it here.

As mentioned in our previous email, the BQA will be represented by Estelle Dehon KC and the other speaker will be David Rees KC, a long term leaseholder in Thomas Moore House. We are very confident that the views of everyone who objected to the scheme will be expertly and thoroughly presented by these two speakers. Estelle Dehon KC spoke at length at the pre-committee presentation on Friday and was extremely impressive.

We have no idea what Wednesday will bring, but there can be no doubt that the opposition to the City of London Corporation’s proposals for LWW has been invariably professional, always underpinned by expert advice and sustained for almost three years – and that is down to everyone who has helped support us. Thank you!
