The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the scope of the Leaseholders’ group and to give an update on GLERA’s meeting with the City of London and the sub-groups of GLERA that will take responsibility for representing Leaseholders with respect to the Estate Wide Investment Programme proposed by Corporation of London, our landlord.
Discussions included:
- existing GLERA Leaseholder funds and their source (GLOA); potential future legal costs and how they could be covered
- new GLERA sub-groups – Technical, Leaseholder and Archive – and the need to find new resident members with specialist knowledge
- progress of the Archive group in structuring an accessible storage system; a request for volunteers to review existing documents for importance, plus gathering additional documents from residents, historical resources etc
- the GLE Major Works Renewal Programme Board and it’s terms of reference and scope
- the need for sight of all roof reports that are currently being undertaken by the CoL
It was also noted that the Crescent House planning consultation (drop in) takes place on 1 December at 4.00-7.00pm in the Sir Ralph Perring Centre.
