join CoL new resident voice group

This Autumn, City of London Corporation Housing is launching our new Resident Voice Group. We are looking for residents to express their interest and apply to become a Resident Voice Group member. The Resident Voice Group will meet quarterly to review City Corporation Housing performance data, scrutinise our services such as repairs, estate services and compliance, examining their delivery and working with us to set strategic aims and objectives.

If you are interested in joining the Resident Voice Group, or if you have any further questions, please email the Resident Involvement team with your name and address, whether you are a leaseholder or tenant, and a short paragraph (max 250 words) explaining why you would like to join the Group. The deadline to apply is 19 September.

The group will be jointly chaired by a resident voted for by the group, and Peta Caine, Director of Housing. Heads of Service, contractors and other staff will be invited by the group to discuss their areas of service.

The resident chair will also represent the group at the Housing Management and Almshouses Sub Committee, providing a direct link between the Resident Voice Group and the dedicated committee for City of London Corporation Housing.

The Resident Voice Group membership will be made up of two thirds tenants and one third leaseholders from all our housing estates. We will meet in person on a weekday evening with an option to join online. Residents will be able to claim shopping vouchers for their time, as well as travel and childcare expenses.

We are looking for residents who have a strong interest in working with the City of London Corporation Housing team and other residents to help make improvements to our services, while participating with responsibility, integrity and respect, ensuring that the Group can be successful and impactful. We want residents keen to review our work at the strategic level, bringing a user perspective to the big picture of all our work.
