Occasionally there are incidents of rough sleeping on the estate. Here’s how to report and best help the person(s) concerned (taken from letter sent by the Corporation to residents on 6 January 2026):

We would like to inform residents that within the last 2 weeks there have been multiple reports of a rough sleeper being seen within the blocks again during out-of-office hours. Sightings have included the lifts, stairwells, and other communal areas.

Please be assured that the GLE office is working proactively with Parkguard (our appointed on site patrol company), the City of London Police and the City of London Homelessness Outreach Team. Together we are taking coordinated steps to address this issue and ensure the safety and comfort of our residents.

We kindly ask all residents to assist by taking the following precautions:

  • if you see the individual, please report it immediately by calling the police on 101
  • Do not allow tailgating when entering or exiting the building
  • only buzz in individuals you know through the entrance intercom system
  • below is a link, please report any rough sleeper sightings via the link https://thestreetlink.org.uk/start
  • Please send any photos of the rough sleeper or sighting information to our office email at goldenlane@cityoflondon.gov.uk so we can share with the Police and Park Guard.
