Taken from November 2024 @Home enewsletter
Thank you to everyone who took part in our consultation sessions and those who returned their Pets Policy Survey to us. We had an excellent response to the survey and received 1,235 responses, which is a turnout of 45% of all households, with every residential property sent a copy of the survey.
We asked residents the following question: “Do you think the City of London Housing Service’s Pets Policy should be updated to allow residents to have one dog (with prior permission)?”
As a result, we will submit a Pets Policy to Committee for approval in November 2024. We will recommend that the policy maintains our current approach of not allowing residents on City Corporation estates to own a dog, unless a valid exception applies. Read more on our website.
