The popularity of Lime and Forest bikes as a way for people to travel in the City means that even a small proportion of users parking dockless bikes inappropriately can cause significant issues.
We are trialling a new approach to enforcement of dockless bikes by issuing fixed penalty notices to Lime and Forest if they do not remove their bikes after we have have reported an obstruction.
Our aim is to reduce problems with these dockless bikes blocking pavements and to increase compliance with the requirement for these bikes to only be left in designated bays.
