April 3 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Community Centre, downstairs

general updates
WINDOWS + ASSOCIATED WORKS
At the February GLERA meeting we reported back on a meeting with Judith Finlay (Executive Director of Community and Children’s Services), Peta Caine (Assistant Director Housing Community and Children’s Services) and Greg Wade (Head of Major Works Housing). See GLERA residents’ meeting.
There is a follow up meeting scheduled for last week in March and will be reporting back on any updates.
We have again expressed concerns about the quality of legal opinion that the Corporation is able to produce in-house and will hopefully soon receive a full response to our email dated 15 October highlighting this concern. See why the delay in providing legal opinion?
Plus updates re COLPAI and REDEVELOPMENT OF THE LEISURE CENTRE.
special guest
We have invited Cooperation Town to come and talk to us about setting up our very own food cooperative – this could be a really exciting resident run initiative.
Cooperation Town co-ops are small neighbourhood buying groups, providing their members with free and affordable groceries, sourced in bulk and distributed at a very low price.
Cooperation Town food co-ops are owned by their members and run according to local needs. Members decide collectively on how to organise and are responsible for the day to day running of the co-op.
While each Cooperation Town co-op is independent, the network is designed to share resources and support across the movement.
