[NOTE: this meeting was originally organised for 20 October but had to be rescheduled due to a major electrical fault at the Community Centre.]
Members of the Barbican and Golden Lane Neighbourhood Forum are invited to join the AGM. Below is the agenda, a request for any motions, applications to become a director, a request for help with bookkeeping and fundraising, and the minutes of the last AGM.

- Amendments to constitution:
– To reduce the requirement for general meetings during the calendar year from two to one, the one general meeting to be the AGM
– To amend the requirements for financial supporting to require the treasurer to provide budget and accounts at the last full steering committee meeting before the AGM, rather than at every meeting - Steering Committee membership: Resignation of Brenda Szlesinger as director and appointment of Randall Anderson (community organisation member) and Panos Nicolaou (business member)
- Election or re-election of directors
- Appointment of Co-chair
Requests for motions to be submitted by 7 October.
Applications to become a director to be received by 7 October, stating name address, and which category of member they are, and how long they have been a member.

AGM minutes 2024
Here’s a link to the presentation on the Forum’s work that was shared at the AGM
- The meeting was declared quorate
- A verbal financial update of income and expenditure to date was shared: detailed accounts will be presented as required in early 2025
- Nominations of three new members of the Steering Group were carried:
Angus McNeill Peel, Cathy Ross and Paul Lincoln are elected as of the date of the AGM. Christopher Makin stands down from the Steering Group as of the date of the AGM.
- It was agreed that necessary delegations be made in respect of urgent upcoming business including responding to the City Plan 2040 inspection
- A Vote of Thanks was passed: “The members of the Barbican + Golden Lane Neighbourhood Forum would like to thank the Steering Group and Directors for successfully achieving designation for the Forum, and to all our neighbours for their enthusiastic support”
