The City of London Corporation would like your views on the future of Beech Street. Between March 202 and September 2021, we ran a traffic experiment on Beech Street to improve air quality. The experiment restricted polluting traffic from using Beech Street as ‘through route’ whilst still allowing access for zero emission capable vehicles and for any vehicle that was accessing a property on Beech Streey. Since the experiement was concluded most of the ttaffic has returned to Beech Street and nitrogen dioxide levels have risen.

We are now consulting on making similar permanent measures to improve air quality.

The Beech Street consultation will be open until 6 March 2023.
