let’s reduce waste!

A Library of Things is coming to the Barbican Library in spring!

It will offer an easy and affordable way to access tools and equipment rather than buying new, and the City of London, together with local residents, the Barbican Library, and design researchers Stby would like to know what you would find useful in there.

This is part of a wider effort to help the community save money, improve recycling, reduce waste, and strengthen local resource sharing, in partnership with the Barbican Library. Whether it’s confusion about what can be recycled or not having the right tools to repair everyday items, the workshops will offer an opportunity to hear about the experiences of residents.

Stby are hosting four workshops in total, at Golden Lane Estate, Middlesex Street, Mansell Street, and the Barbican. If you’re a resident of any of these four estates, you are welcome to attend any session.

• 13 January 5:30-7pm – Portsoken Community Centre
• 19 January 5:30-7pm – Artizan Street Library
• 27 January 5:30-7pm – Barbican Library
