background
The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that starts on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day. It is aimed at encouraging individuals, organisations and communities to call for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls (VAWG).
As part of this year’s 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, the City of London Police and City of London Corporation are running a series of ‘Walk and Talks’ in the City of London.
Women visiting, working or living in the City of London can ‘Walk and Talk’ with City of London Police officers and representatives from City of London Corporation to share their thoughts on safety and how to we can bring about a positive change.
Those who take part in a ‘Walk and Talk’ can share their views and experiences with officers and staff as they walk through any areas they may feel vulnerable in.
