SUMMARY:give + take day | tech takeback
DESCRIPTION:St Giles Church\, Barbican\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSeveral times throughout the year\, the Recycling Team run Give and Take Days at different locations across the City. Have items in a reusable condition you no longer need? Looking for something new-to-you? This is your chance to declutter sustainably while helping to reduce waste and support your local community. \n\n\n\nFor this event we have also collaborated with Tech-Takeback to give City residents and workers the opportunity to donate unwanted technology for reuse and recycling. All data-bearing devices\, regardless of condition\, will be taken away to be securely data-erased. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\ngive + take | how it works\n\n\n\nThe day is spilt into two parts – the ‘Give’ where you can come and donate your unwanted items. There is no limit to the number of items we will accept. These items will be sorted and displayed ready for the ‘Take’ part of the day which will happen later\, where you are welcome to select items you’d like to bring home with you. There is no limit on the number of items you can take home\, but we ask that people take only what they need so that others in the community get a chance to participate.  \n\n\n\nGIVE | 10 am – 12 pmDonate your pre-loved items in a good\, reusable condition\, including: \n\n\n\n\nClothes and shoes\n\n\n\nToys\n\n\n\nKitchenware\n\n\n\nBric-a-brac\n\n\n\nBooks\n\n\n\nDVDs\n\n\n\nElectrical items\n\n\n\n\nWe can’t accept donations after 12pm\, so please arrive between 10am-12pm to donate your items. You will only be able to ‘Give’ during these hours\, and not ‘Take’ anything home with you just yet. \n\n\n\nTAKE | 1 – 3 pmWe open the doors for you to explore the day’s goods and find something you love for free! \n\n\n\n1 – 2pm: Open to City of London residents (proof of residency required)2 – 3pm: Open to everyone \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\ntech-takeback\n\n\n\n10 am – 12 pm | 1 – 3pmDonate your unwanted tech to support local charities! Throughout the event\, our partners Tech-Takeback will be present to collect any unwanted laptops\, PCs\, mobile phones and tablets in any condition. All items will be securely data-erased before being assessed for reuse. Items that cannot be reused will be dissembled for recycling.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us on 12 July and be part of the reuse revolution!
