SUMMARY:estate office drop in
DESCRIPTION:Sir Ralph Perring Centre\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDrop-ins are your opportunity to speak to your estate team to ask any questions or offer any suggestions to improve life on your estate. All residents are welcome. \n\n\n\nCome along to this session to meet the project teams and find out more about the Golden Lane Estate Refurbishment programme which includes: WINDOWS; LIGHTING; SIGNAGE; FIRE SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS AT GREAT ARTHUR HOUSE. \n\n\n\nThe team have created a pamphlet with an update across all projects: \n\n\n\n\nEarlier this year the City of London Corporation successfully bid for funding to improve aspects of the public realm at the Golden Lane Estate. Surveys and design work have been commissioned to look at lighting and signange and the scope of the projects is being defined\, taking into account previous work by GLERA and others on estate-wide security\, ease of navigation\, accessibility\, maintenance and running costs. \n\n\n\nThis pamphlet introduces the projects and what they set out to achieve. It also gives an update on other work on the estate including the window refurbishment and upgrades to fire safety at Great Arthur House. Funding is provided by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the City Climate Action Fund. \n\n\n\n\nClick on button to download pamphlet: \n\n\n\nGLE REFURBISHMENTS

SUMMARY:GLEE inaugural meeting
DESCRIPTION:Sir Ralph Perring Centre\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAre you interested in helping to organise community events on the estate? Come along to the inaugural meeting of a new residents group\, GLEE (Golden Lane Estate Events). \n\n\n\nEveryone welcome and there’ll be tea\, coffee\, cake…! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDear Event Creator/ Volunteer \n\n\n\nFor a number of years individual residents have got together to run events on the estate. In discussion we have decided that it would be good to create a constituted group to help residents to raise funds for events and to offer help and volunteering opportunities in the running of community events by and for residents. \n\n\n\nFollowing the Golden Baggers AGM on February 2 it was agreed that funds held by them and attributed to events they have held\, outside the scope of the allotments\, can be transferred to a new group\, GLEE (Golden Lane Estate Events) along with profits from the Community café whose funding is also currently managed by them. \n\n\n\nWe have drawn up a simple constitution\, attached*\, and once agreed will set up a bank account to allow us to seek funding. \n\n\n\nThe events group\, originally set up for this year’s Picnic with Music has a number of members and I hope they will continue to support GLEE. \n\n\n\nI would like to invite you to an initial meeting on Sunday 16th February\, 10.30am in the SRPR  to discuss the proposal\, agree the constitution and elect the Chair\, Treasurer and Secretary. If you know of other residents who might be interested in becoming a member of the group please invite them along. \n\n\n\nKind regardsChristine Clifford \n\n\n\n\n* please email secretary.glera@gmail.com if you would like a copy of the draft constitution before the meeting.
